I came up with some last minute holiday ideas last week and crammed all three steps of this project in one night. I loved the finished project soooo much I made another one (a little different but just fun and happy).

Materials: re-purposed window, kitikata paper, pineapple paper and gloss medium

I've been commissioned to do a watercolour of this wonderful house and boat. It's actually a picture that's been sitting in my inbox for a long time, but as of today, I have it all sketched out and the plan is to put brush to paper tonight while the house is quiet. I'll post my progress (if I make any) soon.

Order for 2010 - Wedding Guest Tree

A couple of nights ago, I came home to a lovely phone call for an order for a newly engaged couple who would like a wedding guest tree. I can't wait to make another one of these especially for them!

I heart pineapples!

I went paper internet shopping last week (one of my most favourite things) and stumbled upon pineapple papers! I ordered one in each colour - I think I got 17 sheets sent to me - just to try them to see if they would work for what I was thinking... and they worked out great. I'm a fan!

I used the red to make one of my window art projects (sorry I don't think I took a picture before I handed it off of the lovely lady who ordered it).

This was an old small basement window but the three panels made great frames for these 3 letters. I painted the frame silver to give it a little holiday glitter.
